InterContinental Hotel, Tahiti

February 2020: With a six hour time change, we arrived a few days for the start of our planned trip across the South Pacific, with our destination of Australia. The time difference was 6 hours, which meant that our previous dinner times were now breakfast time, and our night time sleeping time, was actually afternoons back in Canada.

The hotel provided locations to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Having arrived from ice and snow, and grey skies, the colours of the trees, flowers, sky were not to be taken for granted. The hotel had two pools, one that provided at least twice the lengths that I was used to swimming at the local community pool back home, and the other location had a sandy beach, and infinity pool, adjacent to the ocean. As we were there in February, and during the week, we had the venues basically to ourselves.

  1. O my goodness what a beautiful place! I grew to love Tahiti while watching surfing championships and of course always wanted to visit. If only the flight time wasn’t 20 + hours. Thanks for sharing, there’s nothing better than seeing palm trees 😊
