October 2016: We experience the four seasons here in Ottawa, Canada and it is the trees that distinguish for most whether it is spring, summer, fall or winter. It’s December 26 and we have snow on the ground, the trees are bare, and although we usually have snow storms this time of year, it is freezing rain outside. Who said there is no evidence of global warming?
This fall, we were invited to join family and friends for Canadian Thanksgiving at a cottage, about 45 minutes away from Ottawa. The trees were starting to lose their leaves, and the leaves of the birch and maples were starting to change colour.
