September 2016: Our days on the Danube River had ended and our next destination was Prague, Czech Republic. The bus trip was about three and a half hours, through a variety of scenery. We past from forested area, hilly areas, through small towns, and to what looked like prosperous farmland area. The fields appeared at the start of harvest time- and similar to driving through southern Ontario the large circular bales of hay and fresh grass were visible.
As we crossed the bridge into Prague, I caught sight of the “Dancing House”, buildings designed by both Frank Gehry and the Czech architect Vlado Milunic built in the 1990’s and a statement among the Art Nouveau, Gothic, and Baroque buildings that we were soon to see in Prague.
