Poclarn, Austria

August 2016: Our day was filled with activities including a bicycle ride through vineyards in the morning, a stop at a winery, a boat ride from Durnstein to Melk, a visit to an abbey, and then back on our boat to continue in the late afternoon and evening through lower Austria to our next destination- Passau, Germany.

We discovered the best spot to sit late in the afternoon, was at the front of the boat, off of the lounge, in an area with a glass canopy.  It provided protection from the wind, and a spot to lounge and enjoy the sites.  Advantages of taking photographs with my phone- the location of the photo is recorded.   Adjacent to the Danube River, on the port of the boat, we passed the town of Poclarn.  The church steeple with the onion dome, the colourful houses, was a perfect photo to be taken, and provide sketching material for later.
