Chesterman Beach, Tofino, British Columbia

June 2016:  The Wickaninnish Inn is our home for the next few days.  The Inn, located 5 kilometres from Tofino, British Columbia is on North Chesterman Beach.  The 2.7 kilometre white sand beach is idyllic.  To describe  the scene out our window the word “nature” comes to mind.  There are eagles soaring above and the surf is trying to find paths around the rocks.  The rolling sound of the waves and wind are constant in the background.

From what I can find Chesterman Beach, is named for John Chesterman who acquired land grants from the British crown in 1915.  He had been a coxswain and a prospector for gold and copper.
